According to Intel’s announcement, the gradual retirement process of the first processors that were produced with 45nm technology. In this process, a total of five dual core processors of the Mobile Core 2 family will leave their places for the next generation. These are the processors that will retire:
- Core 2 Duo T8100 (2.1 GHz)

- Core 2 Duo T8300 (2.4 GHz)
- Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5 GHz)
- Core 2 Duo T9500 (2.6 GHz)
- Core 2 Extreme X9000 (2.8 GHz)
Although Intel will take orders for these models until June 24th, the distribution of both boxed and tray versions of the products will end respectively on October 23th, 2009 and September 24th, 2010.
