At a presentation at the WinHEC conference, we read that information regarding Microsoft’s release date of the newly polished Vista, the Windows 7. Looking at Microsoft’s previous statements, it was pointed out that Windows 7 might be released three years after Vista (2010), but it seems now that they might be in front of their road plan.
Because the version of the Windows 7 that was presented for the developers became easily downloadable by the BitTorrent users too, now there is nothing disclosed about Windows 7. While the version that was sent to the developers had many stability problems and restricted features, looking at the first reports we can see that improvements in ease of use, performance and battery longevity for portable systems have been made. Knowing that Windows 7 is an operating system based on Vista, Windows 7 is the cleaned up, polished and optimized version of the previous OS.
ASUS had announced that they would be providing Eee PC with Windows 7 in mid-2009. Seemingly, the date that ASUS aimed for seems pretty probable.
